'Consultant's Corner' Gives Women-Owned Businesses the Exposure they Deserve
The first Saturday of each month women-owned businesses in the Sumter/ Shaw AFB SC area come together to promote their businesses and support each other. Saturday, 4 February 2006, is the first 'Consultant's Corner' being held at the Community Room of the Sumter Mall at 1057 Broad Street, Sumter, from 11am until 6pm. Representatives and consultants from companies such as Avon, Close to My Heart, Discovery Toys, PartyLite Candles and Tupperware are attending, as well as the women-owned businesses Static Moon and Mommy & Me.
The focus of Consultant's Corner is not only to advertise the wonderful women-owned businesses in the Sumter/ Shaw AFB area, but also to raise awareness of the business and work-from-home opportunities that are available to women. New women-owned businesses are welcome to attend each month, and those interested should contact Morgan Moss at 803-565-6232 or Cynthia Tarantino at 803-840-3612.
Each month there are drawings and events planned at Consultant's Corner, including Military Appreciation in May, where US military ID holders will get 10% off purchases made from any of the businesses. Each business also runs their own specials and free giveaways, so there is plenty to see and do each month!
Future Consultant's Corner dates are planned for 4 March 2006, 1 April 2006, 6 May 2006, 3 June 2006 and 1 July 2006. Further dates will be scheduled as participation grows.
